Hiking trails

With over 500 marked hiking trails, the county of Sibiu is truly a hiker’ paradise: from beginners trails around the Păltiniş resort to trails dedicated to those with experience who wish to reach the highest summits of the Romanian Carpathians, the Negoiu Summit (2535 m) and the Moldoveanu Summit (2544 m) of the Făgăraş Mountains.

How about a hike on the rocky peaks of the Făgăraş Mountains, on the more gentle slopes of the Cindrel Mountains or, why not, on the wooded hills of the Hârtibaci and Târnava Mare rivers? Our suggested hiking trails, with different degrees of difficulty, will take you through spectacular landscapes. Take your backpack and camera and let’s discover the surroundings of Sibiu “by foot”!
