If you travel by car you may get to Sibiu from four different directions. Coming from Bucharest via Braşov on E68 you will be fascinated by the beauty and grandeur of the Făgăraş mountain peaks.
If you choose the Bucharest-Sibiu route via Piteşti and Râmnicu Vâlcea you cut some of the distance and enjoy the spectacular views of the Olt Valley.
Access from the west of the country - Arad and Timişoara is possible via Deva, on E 68.
From Târgu Mureş or Sighişoara you may get to Sibiu by taking route DN14. All along the road you will be accompanied by gentle terraced or wooded hills and multi-coloured meadows.

- In Romania, legal speed limits are: 50 km/h in towns and villages; 90 km/h on national roads; 100 km/h on European roads and 130 km/h on motorways.
- To park your car in the centre of Sibiu and Mediaş you must use parking tickets. There are ticket machines in the parking lots or you may buy them from the newspaper stands.
