Nature's Kitchen

A Native American proverb says before you eat take time to thank your food. It may sound comic, but the natural history specimens displayed in this temporary exhibition will convince you that this saying is justified when you eat armadillo, porcupine, crocodile or bat meat. Are you into entomophagy (you like eating insects) or would you drink a soup made with duck blood?
There are culinary traditions in the world that, for some of us, are unimaginable. We invite you to visit our exhibition and discover these unique "ingredients", from the collections of the Museum of Natural History in Sibiu. How many of us would like to enjoy every day exotic fresh fruits such as palm fruits, monkey-pots, baobab fruits and more!
